BuyBack Program

Converting schools' aged IT assets into cash

Troxell-CDI’s Buyback Program offers peace of mind and superior value like no other partner in the industry

Nearly every school in North America has a fleet of aged IT assets with potential to be turned into cash. How can you get the best value from these assets while staying compliant with student data privacy and environmental laws?

Leave it to the hands of Troxell-CDI IT disposition experts. We have helped hundreds of school districts across the nation refresh their IT fleets while utilizing their old assets residual value as a form of payment. Our team handles the full process including asset valuation, IT hardware packaging and removal, data destruction, reporting and installation of new equipment.

Selling your old technology to Troxell-CDI is a win-win. Not only will you gain new technology by retiring your old devices, but you can also change the lives of others by providing them with affordable technology in good working condition. Since 2011 we have sold more than six million devices to students who now can get their homework done and earn skills for their future careers.

How does the Buyback Program work?

Inventory

We gather a list of assets you want to decommission. If you need help creating an inventory list, we will send a certified IT disposition manager to your site.

Asset Valuation

We will generate a detailed quote indicating the estimated value of the assets. Our focus is to help schools, so we strive to offer the highest possible value in the market.

Asset Removal & Shipment

We will remove the assets from your site and ship them to one of our certified facilities. We provide packaging instructions and materials, so that the assets can be shipped safely.

Data Destruction

We inspect, audit and destroy all data with Serialized Auditable Reporting to the NIST Standard in our certified facilities.

Equipment Grading

We assess the condition of the devices to provide the final value and bill for payment. Please check the equipment grading details in the FAQs section at the bottom of this page.

Payment Reporting

We send payment to your school’s account or hold it as a deposit towards your next purchase from us. Once the transaction is completed, you will receive a report and certificates of data destruction and carbon emission avoidance.
